it makes up for him giving me shit about my "pinner" whitewalls and "skyjacker" rear on my Tbird!

That was another thing that was lame this year. The show ending at 8PM. It used to go to 10PM on Saturday night.

    Bummer.

I had a great spot, but I sure prefer outdoor shows to these indoor ones. There have been amazing cars at both GNRS and the Autorama, but I like being outside and getting close to cars and just hanging out. Apples and oranges I guess.

I feel honored to have won, but no award would have been just fine too. I'm more stoked for the Gambino than anything else.

I was over at the hall of fame luncheon during the Hamb meet and greet but was able to still meet quite a few guys. All and all I had a great time and as for the weather, I was just lucky to make it out of the snowbanks up here and attend.

From a HAMB Nobody's point of view, I enjoyed the heck out of the show, and I even missed the whole pavilion building and never knew it had cars in it. LOL. I flew out for the Mercs and was not disappointed.

I got to meet cool HAMB Somebody's.....Axle, Rikster, Bad Bob (I signed the banner, Bob!), Sldnmatt, Alex Gambino, 51 Mercules and others. Talked to John D'Agostino, Jim McNeil, Gene Winfield, Mercury Charlie. I got to talk to the guy that saved and has driven the Frank Sonzogni Merc 180,000+ miles. Great guy and an awesome story. He pulled an original dash knob from the car made by Bob Hirohata from his pocket and handed it to me to check out.

When I saw they were putting this Merc gathering together, I knew I HAD to be there. The trip was one for the books and will be a highlight in this Merc lover's life. Kept my eye peeled for Kirk to compliment him on a fantabulous car (you can not appreciate this car without seeing it in person!), but never caught him. I'm sure his life will go on without having met me, LOL.

Maybe the idea would be to have the suede room AND the pinstripers all in one room...but give them a much BIGGER area!!!....(and away from that frikken noise!! )
I'd bet that they'd get a better turn-out from both crews as well. ($$$$:D)

and they autta put the sound off thinggy outside, so (hopefully) the sound could dissipate.

I can not believe I missed or didn't meet that many people from the HAMB this last weekend. I was there from Thursday morning to Sunday night all day. I think Rik was the only out of towner I met, actually our paths crossed all weekend.

Dave and Jason...both you guys count, of course. But from all the guys that have posted on here and other threads, I met a small percentage.

I think the stripers should have been up with the rest of us too, and as far as the sound off car they paid 500.00 dollars tor the three days per car. Chip

Jason, it was nice to see you in Sacramento! Your car was amazing! I'll be down in Morro Bay for the Car Event in May. Hope to see you there and maybe have time to get some work done on my Studebaker. You guys are doing great work there! Jeff
