Event Coverage Sad News, Hot Rod Crash Kills 3 From Same Family

Yesterday the driver (member of Brampton Street Rods) with his wife and son were driving their 1948 Chevrolet Street Rod westbound on 407 Highway in Toronto returning home from a car show when one of the rear tires had an issue forcing driver to lose control and veer in front of a large passenger bus where it got T-Boned into a ditch where it caught fire, Two people were removed before it was too late to get to back seat. One died on the scene the other air lifted to hospital but was pronounced D.O.A. VERY TRAGIC

Andy, you are correct I did not want to bring it up in the original post as I think this was the cause in this tragedy. I have mentioned tires before YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT THE DATE CODE before buying used tire.

Any loss of a family member is sad, regardless of the cause.
May God comfort the rest of this family in their loss.

 

Update, Sorry to say the victims were Dave & Karen HARPLEY and their son Chad.
I dont know if they are on the HAMB or not, but he was a member of the Brampton Street Rods Car Club.
Dave was an avid Car Guy. So Sad.

I saw that yesterday...when I saw the burned out shell I new it was late forties. Drive that stretch quite often...Thought this would make it here. Condolences to those involved...I lost a shock tower yesterday going to a cruise so yeah do the walk around it could save your life...

 

Nothing I could say would help. Still very tragic.

Since nobody else has posted this info I guess I will. The wake is on Friday and the funeral is on Saturday for all three members of the Harpley family. The accident happened on Sunday which was Chad's 42nd birthday. Dave and Karen were in their 60s. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers....
