Honestly there is no way to safely send money. You are always taking a risk.

My old lady drives 110 miles to the nearest mall. Drop her off and go the rest of the way. Oh wait, you said girlfriend not wife, go ahead and take her with ya, might be an adventure!!!

Go there with a trailer so you can bring it home, if you do buy it. That way you get it all done at once.

If you get screwed out of any money she probably won't let you forget it...
    My advise.............
    Take the road trip,
Have a nice drive, buy her a nice dinner, maybe even stop at a few places she likes.
Once you arrive and see the Buick's,
    Pay the deposit,
Get the bill of sale and delivery aggreement,
Pay the balance when he delivers,
    Everyone's happy.

If your still set on sending him money, use Paypal or a Postal Money Order.
Don't wire transfer any money unless your comfortable with the guy (it don't sound like you are otherwise you wouldn't be asking us)

250 miles is nothin! We drive that far to our cabin most weekends, and even at a leisurely pace it only takes 3 hours. Do you have a friend/relative/coworker with a trailer? You and a buddy go up, inspect, and of you decide this guy is on the level and you want the cars, pay half, take a car with you, and give him half of the price for the second car to deliver...

Unfortunate but true. Even if the transaction is safe, you are buying sight unseen. Take the trip. Last month I drove Prague to Hamburg and back in 1 day to check out an OT car. It was well worth it.

I came across a screaming deal sat night.
Its 440 miles away and in snow country. I have 6 kids and leaving them with the wife wont work and neither will taking them.
I was goona wire transfer the money tomorrow and have it shipped fir 600. I can't do it. I just have to see it in person.
I dojt think its a scam. I am afraid of the car. And have even at a screaming deal, nothing ****s worse than a car that looks good but you know is ****.

    I will p*** unless I can send a buddy.
