Hey all, I have a Saginaw 4 speed behind my chevy 250 and I can only go into 3rd gear and reverse at this time. I went and looked at the linkage and noticed I’m missing the bushing that’s closest to the bellhousing where the rod goes inside. I have zero clutch pressure. Also, the linkage seems to be hitting my steering shaft and binding it up. I got a new clutch kit sitting in the garage, but what do I do about this stupid linkage? The adjuster on the linkage is almost all the way out, I’m still getting almost zero pedal pressure and my pedal won’t pop back up really at all. Anyone have an issue like this before? Yes yes I know the fix would be to swap in a Muncie but I don’t have Muncie money right now. Vehicle is a 65 el Camino.

Start by replacing all the linkage bushings and re adjust the linkage in the neutral position... And that's just for starters...
