I've dug around here and the web and I'm coming up empty. Looking for new input needle bearings (14, I think) for a 4 speed (same as 3 speed, I ***ume). I'm replacing the front bearing and using new seals & gaskets but can't find somewhere to get ONLY those needle bearings, without buying a complete small parts kit. Surely, there has to be someplace that carries just those. Sorry, I don't know how to post a video, but here's what I'm trying to fix:

Both of these sources have been good to me for Saginaw parts. IMG_5335.jpeg IMG_5336.jpeg

Everything looks really good inside, just didn't like the "wobble" of the input shaft. Found those at a local (sort of) trans shop. It's probably the input bearing. Wow. Found everything from $10-$80 on those. The trans shop guy said don't skimp on that bearing, so I think I found a quality one at a decent price.

So did you buy some from the local guy or did you get them from somewhere online?

@Corn Fed Got the needle bearings at Badger Transmission in Madison, WI. He had some leftover (new) parts laying around. Ordered gaskets/seals kit online. Waiting to hear back about the front bearing. Apparently, there are a couple different ones that will work. Some have more ball bearings in them than others. I was set to buy a cheap one, until I talked to the ****** guy. He said to get a good one. He also said that was most likely the problem I was having. I found a 1207SL which is the better one and supposed to help with the wobbly input.

****** dude sounds wise. Bearings are not a place to go cheap.

For future reference, Zumbrota Drivetrain in Zumbrota, MN has a lot of individual parts for old manuals available (bearings, seals, some frictions, etc.).

At least they did when I was working there a few years back.
