20220220_211528.jpg 20220220_211511.jpg We're in the process of swapping out a motor in my 50 Merc which came with a new Saginaw GM style ps pump. The problem is the fitting in the pump is not compatible with the Steering Box hose (Steering box is from a Isuzu Tropper). The ends of the hose appear to be metric. I'd rather not have a new custom hose built, looking for the right adapter. Thank you

The right adapter is get a new hose made. Or you could buy a metric pump off of a newer GM truck and get the correct puller and installer to change over the pulley. But it will be cheaper to modify the hose.

Swap the fitting in the pump for a later O'ring style fitting. I was looking earlier for someone on the truck board you may be able to change the flair seat for an O ring seat but am not positive on that one.

This goes the opposite way O-Ring to Inverted Flare Power Steering Adapter (speedwaymotors.com) Meaning that you may be able to swap seats out.
I can't find an O-ring seat to put in the flow control valve. Best and simplest idea may be to just snag an O-Ring flow control valve off a late 80's pump for a setup similar to what the hose came off in the first place. 5/8 wrench and a 1 inch wrench and off you to to snag one.
