The party was good. Since most of the Alameda/Sacto kids didn't wanna venture to Benicia in the rain and everyone else had that gnarly flu that's going around, the turnout basically was my Contra Costa/Solano friends. Still, it was a good time, there was an adequate liquor supply and Philippe and I ended up shutting everyone down. Score one for the East Bay Pirates! Dude, Cole. Build a moped and I'll make you an honorary member. I'm at work on That Thing of Ours. I wanna make it purty so's to wow the kids.

But dude, seriously. Hot pink with a turquoise gerbilskin interior. You'll be combin' the pussy outta Hammett's hair.

You gonna have Dirty Donny do any striping on that thing? Run it by Krk.
    Rök.
    Dave.

  4. PURE ART!! That's there with Figoni & Falaschi, Pininfarina and Westergard.

I've never done metal work, (except too much bondo), won't ATTEMPT it. All I'd do is measure my efforts against stuff like yours (then wanna BURN it). [IMG]
But I WILL try a (Weyman) FABRIC body...just hardwood, chicken wire and cloth. [IMG]

Cole's in *Street Rodder*? I mean, I know they haven't pulled their heads outta their asses, but shit...Yates' Eliminator's in there too. Goddamn. So much good stuff. It's unfortunate I'll have to wade through their shit-ass, superior-to-thou braided-belt and bad-shorts attitude to get to the good stuff, not to mention the dearth of decent writing. Oh well, at least there'll be some halfway-decent pictures, some cool cars, decent tech and Ron Covell to look forward to... Sounds like an issue worth picking up.

    Hey Cole,
Michelangelo went thru the same shit when he painted the
The Sistine Chapel. He heard the voice of Julius from
below..... "Hey Mike, why don't you lower those angels
    just a tadd more".

    Its There man!
You're a master at what you do. A gift many of us only
    wish we had.

That's Niiice! That is indeed some beautiful work Cole!

Interesting that Some people have immense talent and the means to make it into metal.
Others have spectacular ideas and they'll never have the means or talent to produce results from their ideas.
Still others have the talent and would still suggest their ideas to other builders.
I love this place for bringing them all together.
But I'll keep my singular good idea to myself so those who can OBSERVE Real Talent up close in person
don't have something to whine about...

Maybe part of what makes Cole so good, is an open mind and an ability to listen, and Think, without jumping to quick criticism for the gaul of someone to suggest another idea to him which May even compliment the thousands he's already incorporated into one of his works...

What is the status of this fine unit these days? Has it made it to paint yet?

Hey Cole , with that being said I would like to add something small. It seems that on most 36s that are skirted like this that alot of guys miss the contour in the transition from the running boards to the rear fenders and the flow of this great line on the car becomes lost . it only seems apparent from this angle when I see it and as I'm sure you and others see it too ,it does happen alot.I have always admired the fluid simplicity of the work your shop has turned out , so , I'll leave it at that . Looks awesome .keep us posted. thanx . swaZZie

You guys critiquing it at this point realize that the bodywork has been completed for like a year right? Go buy #27 of TRJ.
