Same guy, new name

I have been here for a while as Chili Phil. My Mac got sick and my old password is not working so I'll be Holidaze for a while. I need to move a car form Modesto Long Beach.Many folks have replyed and I can't get to my old account, so I'm starting over, sorry for the inconvienence. I'll PM everybody who offered help when my Mac is back up and running.Or if you see this and contact me here it, that will work too.

 

I thought you were Holidazed from Seattle.
If you were I would ask if the 455 is in the 56 yet?

What happened to your Mac? They are *usually* pretty reliable!

 

Boy is MY face red. I should have looked to see if there was a simular name before picking this one. Oh well, I yam who I yam. I just sold my '56 and there was no 455 in it. I won't put a corporate engine in my '49 either. I am just a Rocketeer who loves those Boss Kettering engines.

 

Slide asked: What happened to my Mac? It's an old G3 running Sys 9.2. I must have installed some corrupted fonts and Boom froze up! I use to design and I'm sure not an IT kind of guy. I guess I'm too left brained or something. But I had to take it to the tech to get it sorted out. They're really busy, so I made up a new name so I could have my HAMB in the meantime. This board is no hobby. Obsession is more like it. I think I need a 12 step program for this addiction.

I run a Mac G-3 also great machine,got it off egay for $100.00,works like a charm,but it sure hates PC programs,kinda like being a dodge guy in a ford/chevy world.Good luck with your mac.

 

Understood. Yeah, those corrupt fonts can really mess up 9.2. Happened to me more than once. I highly recommend OS X when you think you can make the move.

so, should we still call you Chili Phil, or Holidaze till you get yer Mac back? Maybe the HAMBer formally known as Chili Phil???

I really love my Mac, getting around on this PC is strange to me. I'll go to OS X as soon as I can afford a newer machine, I've worked with OS X at work and it's a better system but the tech says I don't have enough resurses to run it on my G3.
