I just bought one, they sell two sizes here in Australia, probably the same everywhere, as they come from china. its the bigger one with a stand and about 2'x3' I havent set it up yet, will do so this weekend.

But a guy I rang said you cant get sand anymore as it is carcinagenic, so I would second the make sure your wearing good breathing apperatus if your using sand.

Up to now I had just been using a hand held sandblaster in the yard, getting sand from ****hole to breakfast and everywhere in between, so I thought a cabinet was the go.

pity I didnt see the thread, could have saved myself some money.

Yeah Canuck, I bet thats the real thing for a BIG cabinet...for the tough stuff anyway. The siphon feed is less fooling around due to the recycling action however.

I'm figuring a regular siphon gun would be useless to use with this due to being unable to shut off sand flow?
I guess if you were fast enough you could just reach down and flip the ball valve shut but that would get old quick.

Hmmmm....maybe another ball valve at the sandhose/gun junction?

BTW...I mentioned this blaster to two people and BOTH offered me outdated propane cylinders to use. Talk about easy to pick up! They're EVERYWHERE!
