sandblasting chrome

    Is it possible to successfully remove chrome from steel wheels by sandblasting or is reverse stripping the only option ?? I have some reversed rims that are pitted/flaking that i want to paint. Thanks.

    Depends on the condition and quality of teh chrome..I have gotten somethings stripped clean and a few wheels. but that was kinda lucky. The chrome was flaking ,peeling etc so..I guess with a real blaster ( bigger than a cabinet ) you might
