I am looking for any pictures of the 1955 Belond Miracle Special Indy car. I am currently building a replica and will be building the ****pit soon. It was my understanding that it raced in 1953 and 54. It was converted to a Streamliner in 1955, it didn't qualify in 1956 so the car was dismantled (it is my understanding from all the research I've done). Please, any help would be appreciated!!!
Be nice of you to actually do a legitimate intro instead of just opening the door without knocking and starting to ask for help. Good manners might get you more responses on here. Just sayin'. Good luck.
Gentlemen, It was never never my intent to abuse this site! It is also "my bad" for not reading the guidelines. I have never been on a forum before , nor will I do so in the future. All the cars guys I have known for years acts as a family. We help each other. Obviously I've insulted or even mortified individuals with a simple request. Again, to that I am sorry. I will continue my search as I have to get this far in my project, with rolling up my sleeves and getting dirty. Thank you
Not sure if you are still on here but my grandfather was Sandy Belond and we have photos and a video of the streamliner. Contact me if you are still interested. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Looks like a cool build with a lot of cool metal work. Good luck on your search and build. Don't let the intro police scare you away. There is a lot of talented metal fab guys on the board and I will subscribe to your build thread, welcome aboard hope you stay.
I am so interested!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I started a conversation with you and provided my contact info. Thank you again for your kindness!
Thank you, I wouldn't say I'm talented, but I've always had a p***ion for metal. I was looking for a car to build after buying a 1976 laguna frame on Craigslist and this one found me! Here is an updated picture of the build. I also found a 1970's postal jeep to provide me the steering gearbox to convert to a right hand drive recently, so I took the nose off to convert over to right hand drive, as the original set up was. I have a 1963 nova ss convertible sitting next to the streamliner that is taking a back seat on the project list until this is completed. Thank you again for your kindness!
Sorry, I don't understand! I guess I'm more of a Blazing Saddles fan. I don't need no stinking badge!
Bigcountryracer, My email address is Randall.Robinette@att.net please email me with your contact info and I will all you. I'm very interested in what you have. This would be a great help to me. Would you know what happened to the car?
