I just picked up this SATA gun and can't find any info on it.
The only markings I can find on it are KL.

    Is this an HVLP gun?
How can I find out the tip size?
Can I still get parts for it?

Definitely a primer gun. The tip size will be stamped on the needle and also the fluid cap, and most likely the air cap. Parts might be hard to come by as Sata pulled back on distributing. Its getting harder and harder to fond parts for even current models.

Pull the Cap.. check the edge of the tip.. it should say 2.0 , 1.5. 2.5 .. a 1.4 , 1.5 would be great for base and clear.. a 2.0 tip would be good for primer.. but a little heavy for clear..

I don't know anything about your gun, but all SATA guns sold in the US come through DAN-AM co. located in Minnesota. They have a great tech person. Give them a call.

I can't believe it's hard to find parts for current SATA guns. We have no trouble at all. Find a local dealer for SATA and they should be able to help you.

Thats the thing. Before you could order parts and guns on internet mailorder. Sata pulled all that back so now you can only go to local dealers.

kl is a pretty old primer gun, however they are good guns, parts are cost prohibitive, needle and tip assy go for about $120.00 if you can find them. if you are in it cheap it will make a great primer gun,
