satin paint mixing

    come off soon? how soon is soon? silver one was like that for over 2 years.. no problems.. green one..still satin.. yes.. not sealed.. yes.. you have to take a little more care of it.. but wash and dry.. no scratches.. why not low gloss clear? because this was temporary until i was ready for actual paint.. worked out fine for me.. If you plan on keeping your car satin forever.. then yes by all means.. seal or low gloss clear. but ive seen some flatner and low gloss satin jobs that look real blotchy too.. this was silver metallic basecoat..and sprayed on smooth for about 60 bucks.... but if youre going to go thru all that trouble using all these steps to get it looking satin.. why not just paint it? jmo... done :)

    this was my daily driver a couple years ago. I painted with Lessonal basecoat...that is tough paint, still see the truck frequently and paint still looks great.
