Portable feed mill on the side plaque got me, save that! it's a piece of history, the truck most likely had a feed/corn grinder mounted in the bed at one time that was powered either by pto off the truck, or a seperate tractor and flat belt. He probably went from farm to farm grinding feed corn for farmers that did not have thier own mill ( a big cash outlay ) If you did a true resto, it would be neat to mount a mill back in it for giggles.
I agree that the truck is a '40. '40 and '41 are essentially the same with some minor trim differences. Both '40 and '41 have the little oval parking lights in the headlight stands. '39 and earlier had the park lights behind the headlight lens in the same reflector. '40 was first to have sealed beams, so they came up with those little park lights in the headlight stands (the lights are the same as '37-'40 car interior lights except with a glass lens rather than plastic). '41 hood and center grille chrome is a lot wider than '40, and '41 has the rectangular Ford emblems on the sides of the hood and in the center of the dash.
