It's a little rough, yeah. It will (eventually) see dedicated dragstrip service. Have an Enderle injected small block, and glide for motorvation. Thinking of zero channel, but lots of chop. No front brakes, if the class allows. If anyone has pics of A coupe drag cars from days-gone-by, post em. I've searched and have a few ideas...but everything helps.
It'll be in the shop this winter. I'm just trying to get the image in my head. Though it may change as I go. I want it to have the "LOOK", (think 15oz coupe). Obviously, it wont be a copy, but that thing has IT. Whether or not I succeed, well....
Ok...ok...ok. Show me NoSurf's ride. Before and after. I should know this, but I dont. Show me what can be saved.
Kris, nice score bro. Where'd you find it? How you been keepin? Find me a coupe roof would ya......Shiny
Beatnik, that's pretty much exactly what I was thinking. Do you know anything else about that car? Hey shiny, no one else wanted it I had to do some trading, but it'll work out.
The Green Grenade in my opinion isnt chopped too much for that stance and style. The black drag coupe on the other hand for that style of car is disproportioned. it just doesnt go with the stance. Just my .02
I dunno..... Personlly, I really like the stance and proportion of the black coupe. Maybe just because it is different from the radically channeled and chopped coupes that we find so common today. Obviously, the Green Grenade is on a deuce frame, ie: not channeled. However, the black coupe is lacking an engine, tranny and cooling system, which would certainly drop the front end. (I think it is sitting at the "proper" height in the pic) Soooo, if the black coupe was sitting nose down, with a narrow tire/wheel combo...then it would be "right."
