Saved a Studebaker Champion last night...

    Real Good score, one of my favorites. two feet, on your back & push gently. we had one like that, it popped out perfect no work to do on the roof.

    You have a Bonneville legend car there if you want to build it. They were some of the fastest cars around for a long time, they ran everthing but Stude motors. I went out to the Flats in 2000 just to see the 53's run. I talked to a guy from Kugel he said they had a 300 mph Firebird, that it was more streamlined then the 53 Studes.

    I had a 53 on the line for years like your, almost got it.
    They built it for the Salt Flats. The 53 was named - Salt 2 Salt ( it came from the salt of Minnesota to the salt of Bonneville) i think it ran 127mph. Had a Stude Flathead 6 with a turbo, Ed Bauer & friends built it. It's ran faster since. I didn't feel to bad about not getting the 53 when it went to Bonneville. i've got a 56 Power Hawk coupe now
