I know it doesnt look like much but this old plymouth was a dirt track ace back in the mid 50's at our local dirt track it was literally about an hour away from gettin crushed. It had been sitting in the smae place in this junkyard since the late 60s. The man who built and originally drove the car is still alive and says he has pictures just havent got to see them yet[IMG]I

that Plymouth race car would be the coolest car in town restored and made into a street car, cage and some fat hoosier dirt lookin' tires, that would rock:D

its next in line after i finish my A model. The cool thing is is that the freakin towbar they pulled this thing with was laying beside the car when we picked it up! So it will be seeing some hot rod shows in the near future

  7. I bought my El Camino at an auction where 95% of the cars were bought by scrap haulers. Progress has been stalled lately but I hope to get started again soon.

Does anyone know where one would go in San Antonio to attempt a rescue? Newels, or something like that?

My '51 Chevy sedan was rescued from J&M Salvage in Goodman, Missouri by its previous owner. It was found already chopped but suffering from severe frame damage so the body was placed on a '74 Chevy Monte Carlo chassis / floorpan and brought back to life.
