Thanks guys, I'm moving it to my new garage tonight. I'll tinker with it a little here soon. The work I can see that was done on it appears to be pretty well done for the time. Especially the nose. Really just want to get it running and on a matching set of wheels and tires and figure out the grill/bumper situation first before I decide what to do with it. Anyone have any suggestions for a bumper? I need to go to one of my local yards with a tape measure and start eyeballing some cars in the cl***ic car section of the yard. I'm on the fence with mothballin' it or selling. Time will tell. Some more pics of the car later this week.
Very nice rescue! That car is very interesting! I'm not much of a Ford guy but their mid 50's thru 60's are all OK with me! I wish you well and will be watching the cl***ifieds for it! Sweet ride, good luck with your decision.
Love the T-Bird rear seat. The wagon hatch top looks like a ducktail spoiler in a few of your shots, Neat!
Was at the auction, looked at that ford/x wagon & kind of neat. I liked the roof rack & it fit roof perfect. Feet had slight bend to match roof curve. Wonder where came from or shortened wagon rack? Back seat seems a waste/unusable but what to do with that space? Needs lid over hidden storage in front of bed. Could be made sweet.
Just realized where/what "wagchero" came from - cute. Narrow front bumper, vette teeth grille, skirts, lowed & paint - after get her running. 70s custom - lace paint job.....
Great save. A lot of potential. Even if it goes to the corner of the shop and becomes a "think tank", it's worth the price of admission. Sent from my SM-T377V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
If you're still looking for bumper ideas, maybe you could cut and modify a '57-'58 Studebaker sedan bumper.
