wanted to use the original guages in my 51 Studebaker that I'm buildin, ..I tried cleanin them up but no luck...got all the chrome and brass parts lookin like new but the numbers still looked grundgy and dirty..was almost ready to bit the big one and buy some new big diameter guages but just didn't have the money right now...any way after lookin, forever it seemed, I found some phophorus paint at the old hobby store uptown...color matches right on!!..a little work with some small letterin brushes and they look as good as new, specially in the dark...anyway thought it might be some info someones else might be able to use..the guy at the store said they used the paint on fishing lures, might be another option for different colors..
