So I'm driving to one of our pumping stations today to check out the pumps and I remembered that a few years ago I had seen an early ford front and rearend sitting a block away. So I took a little detour and there they were but this time they were sitting on a trailer like they were going to a swapmeet. I thought I'll just come back another day. So I go and do the job and I thought to myself I have to go back now, as Im pulling up I see a woman out checking the mail (in the plastic 34 ford mailbox). Any way i pull up in my township truck and I asked her very politely if the car parts on the trailer are for sale. She says her husband was going to take them to the scrap yard but he hurt his back and hasnt been able to. I told her I would buy them and just then her husband shows up. We talked for a little and he showed me his 33 pickup that he street rodded and he says to make him an offer on the parts I did and he said yes. I can't tell you how much but it was 3 figures. So I go back to work and I can't get these things out of my mind 3:30 couldn't come fast enough. Got hem home now and I took a few pics I'm psyched. now Im thinking I might have to build a banger version of that Bell auto 33 Roadster That car rules.

    Thats a nice haul!

I'm going to check out a trailer in the woods by my work that appears to have been built on a early Ford frame and suspension with wire wheels, it out in the woods on property owned by a little old lady...

Nicely done. One mans abandoned dream, handed down to someone who will finish the job. Gotta love it.

Like winning LOTTO! Chances are there is a C crank in that motor. Hard to believe a car guy would scrap that stuff.

Don't let the rat rodder types get a look at the patina on that wagon. They'll chop it for sure then probably hang a for sale sign on it.
