nice find, but I find it interesting that 2 figures worth of scrap metal is worth 3 figures whenyou want it...

our local scrapper only pays $80 a ton, and it is frustrating, you offer somebody in line
"$100 for that old truck cab"- "oh no I can get more than that in there"you could try to argue , but it is pointless, the only thing you can do is smile and wave when they come out with thier $50 bill...

but I digress... looks like you will have fun with those street rodder reject parts!

Nice save! Wish I could be so lucky:mad:

  7. Man, Nice save. But lock your shit up. I lost a bunch of V8 rear axles, 3 '39 transmissions, a couple Muncy's, a Ford toploader 4 speed, a '32 comercial front axle with bones and '37 round back spindles and juice brakes... To scrap thieves, while spending time at the hospital with my mom no less. I'm not even sure I know what all's gone. If I could have found it I'd have given scrap prices to have most of it back. I've adopted the shoot first, ask questions later attitude toward thieves.

Sorry, didn't mean to whine all over your thread. Like I said before, great save, I hope you told the scrapper to keep an eye out for more and call you.
