History Saving Dominique - Now with (slow) build thread!

Discussion in 'Traditional Customs' started by Barn Hunter, Nov 24, 2019.

  1. It’s good that you’re man enough to admit it. Some people would just pack it away for another 20-30 years. Maybe we will get to see it done eventually. Good luck with the sale.
P.S. if a potential buyer has on an NCRS hat or shirt run him off!

I have one now, my poor impala has not been out in 3 years because it is too big a pain in the ass to get it down....have to move the corvette, my trike and my boat before the hoist can come down... no more hoists for me

You can send your off topic white car down here, my 18 year old son will drive it like it was meant to be!

So you're suggesting Mark build a stable in the backyard?

How much money are we talking about here for Dom? Someone PM me a price tag

The price on this car is really quite good, which scares me because it's cheap for an early Corvette project, I really don't want to see it put back to stock.

I wonder if the guys who have the X-sonic and the Bill Shelley Corvette would be interested in it? They clearly like this era of custom 'Vette and the price is a drop in the bucket compared to the resto costs on the X-sonic alone.

  9. Where there’s a will there’s a way….Mark, this car deserves you!

  11. @Moriarity Look at all that space between the Predator and the Deal's Wheels '57. Come on man, scrunch them together, you got 4 wide behind them!

I agree, couldn't hurt. They seem like the absolute ideal type of people to have this car.

Wouldn`t the Vette be in your shop getting rebuilt. Is this Pick on Moriarity day. Do you have an empty enclosed car trailer?

in the summertime, there are 2 of my old cars parked in my shop (it is a 2car garage). and the cars in the other garage go from 4 wide to 3 wide. yes my trailer is empty. I really have 2 cars too many right now to take on a restoration project. as much as I would like to have that car, I just can't .... I have 15 cars, a boat, 2 trikes, 5 mini bikes, 3 go karts... man how much does one guy really need???

Okay. Since Sancho started all this. I think his wife Julie would look good in a Corvette. All kidding aside. Let`s find Dominique a new home.

    If not for two good reasons;
    1. I just bought an uber cool and spendy dune buggy
    2. My 25th wedding anniversary in next month and it would be nice to have a 26th

That's exactly what I already told him, when I DM'd him about the price and reminded him that he will be needing a new project soon! Edit: I see he beat me to responding on Dominique!

I think Mark would be the perfect caregiver/caretaker for the car weather he wants to admit it or not. I’m sad to have to see it go, but hope to see it go to a good home. Too bad I have the time, the space, the talent but not the money. That is the most elegant Corvette I have ever seen in my whole life.

If the new owner chooses to start a new build thread rather than continuing this one, please provide the link when it is available. Thanks!
