    Woob,

“it looks a little disproportionately tall”

When a chop is done right after a while stock trucks just look strange. Your truck is just right; the “art deco” effect is right on. It reminds me of the drawings of trucks in my third grade reader. You know the one that showed farmer John taking vegetables to market. Of course all of the vehicles in the reader had “speed lines” following them so that it was obvious that they were really getting to market quickly.

    ’53 COE,

I love the bed on your truck! I may not use it on the ’57 but I am searching for ideas for my ’51 and I am really impressed with the fenders and tail lights on your truck.

And now for a little update; I managed to get the spare engine home without much trauma. After it was safely in my shed I photographed the block and intake casting numbers. Then after a little research I found that the engine is a ’65 Chevy car 283. La Te Da. Nothing to interesting or valuable here, move along. This is especially true since I have (ahem) several small blocks lying around unemployed.

So if someone would like to have this wonderful engine I could be persuaded to let it go for 15 or 20 thousand. After all similar engines go for that. Remember that it was running when parked! They don’t make them like that anymore! This and other drivel.

So it looks like I have another engine cluttering up the place; just when I was getting a handle on thinning the herd.
