went to get some backing plates off this local guy today and he had this sitting in his driveway he just brought home, little to no rust, 59a flathead , 39 trans ,1 stromberg 97,nice dash and gauges continental kit, fully complete except for the headlights, windsheild and front bumper the lucky *******
'35s are better looking anyway.. and nice grilles are a million times harder to find. Lucky fella. I'm still waiting to see the '36 you saw.
nah he said for now he's just gonna upgrade to 40 brakes , paint, fix the winsheild and headlights and drive it for a while, but first hes gotta get the engine goin didnt come with key
thanks for the comments, ya its a 35 for sure i got it from the guy who got it from the o.g. owner in pasadena ..ca. car for sure i opend the trunk every thing is in the trunk that is missing just about hopefully a nice kustom real soon
i didnt know 36s brought more than 35s ?? -- a 35 ashtray brings 5xs maybe 10xs what a 36 ash tray sells for. id pay ALOT more for a gennie 35 grill. ---- i like both years & plan to own a 35 or 6 cabriolet someday -- but it will be a 35 in the end! HEY NICE CAR keep us posted on the progress!!
yep looks like a nice '35 - I too prefer 35s but im a little biased there I guess... sounds like the right things are bring done to the car with the 40 brakes and stuff. 35 parts seem to get good money and do seem to cost more than 36 parts but 36 cars seem to be more desirable for some reason.. i got a very good grille for my coupe 5/6 years ago and thought it was a lot of money, I am glad i got it then because ive never seen another one as nice as this sell since then other than the repro grilles from CWMoss
