Time has come & gone for this car...My father has owned it for approx 12yrs & really got to only enjoy it 1 yr maybe (???) after some major mechanical issues snowballed him. He basically had to rebuild the whole entire driveline (rearend, driveshaft, ****** & motor) & while in the progress replaced the entire floor from the firewall back only to move out of state where the car has sat for the last 6-7 yrs...We got it back home & the flame has been blown out...He decided to throw in towel & send it down the road......It was a fun car but time to move on to something better & more suitable for him to enjoy.....
The flatbed just left & its officially gone...gray/overcast skies today & bright/sunny skies tomorrow!!....Well, i know its Rochester & prob chances are more than likely will have snow...LMAO
Did someone on here buy it after you posted this yesterday? How much did you get out of it? so we will know exactly how sad to be to be for ya.
No one from here...Its staying local & i wont give out that info...But will be happy to show you whats taking its place!!
****, is there actually eye candy on RIT campus now? Was there in late 80's and ratio was like 25 to 1. YIKES! Ah the memories. That and the weather was enough to make a guy slit his wrists. Cheap Genny kept me sane though. Jay's Diner still around? Craving a garbage plate too. I've got one of those stalled project cars sitting in the garage too.
Lmao...wont f@ck with genny but crushed a plate lastnight with a couple of buddies....I'll post pics later today...Its crazy!!...I've had some nice stuff fall in my lap but i think this kind of takes the cake!!...
How was i to know?? Tony knew...you guys talk.. Closed the deal this morning on this gem...A unmolested 1950 Ford Crestline with 23,000 original miles. The body is perfect along with the original paint. A elderly gent from down the street had it buried in the garage since the late 70's...More details & pics will follow in the next couple of days.
Dude you have no idea......it had the look BUT was not all that!... Besides, we couldnt p*** up the deal on the other one and there are plenty of 55's out there...Hell, they are all starting to look the same so got out while it was good. Blacktop--want me to send ya one???
I cant help but laugh at this cause i got some pretty funny pm's & even phone calls/text messages with 'WTF" starting off the convo telling me what a mistake i/we made...Seriously...give me a break...That 55 was a thorn in the *** from jump & still is partly why the decission was made to let it go...My Dad finally got a car that he can drive/enjoy with out the constant worry of wtf is going to break now/next??..It was always something....wait till i post the pics of the new car wich is by far a better car period!!!!.... You cant help but respect & appreciate what a true cl***ic survivour it really is..... Thanks for the support & esp to the one who tried to blow the deal for us...prob why you didnt get the car & we did..
Just keepin it the way it is & enjoying it....Its such a clean little car & basically a mild kustom already
