I can easily see why parting was so difficult. Better man than me. I would never have let her go.:(

You are right it does **** I still regret some I have sent down the road....but on to bigger and better things....not to add to the feeling of remorse but it sure has a sad and confused look on its face peeking out the back of the transport. :)

We still miss our 74 nova. That was a tough day last November. It was my wife's first car, she bought it in 1980. I got attached to it when I partially restored it around 2003 or so

I thought the same thing! Didn't know what I was going to read.

That's a tough feeling letting a ride go that you worked on so much.

The way it's looking out from inside the trailer saying "Don't leave meeeeeeee!"

Oh man! I've been in this position! I really wanted to cry when I let my Poncho go. It's in the garage of another HAMBer as well.

Very nice shoebox! On to bigger and better things, right?

I still regret the sale though.

Cars are like Transit Buses, there's always another one coming. Hopefully she went down the road to build something even cooler.

Man - I get choked up just imagining myself in your shoes. I'd have a harder time doing that than giving away my dog ... and that's saying something.

  16. I prefer to think women are like Transit Buses, cars are keepers.lol

Well, as you all prolly know, the housing market here in California has tanked, so I am taking advantage of it and getting myself into a nicer house (with a much bigger garage). I wanted a lil padding in my pocket. So once I get into the house and settled, it will be onto the next project for sure. This was my first and I learned Soooooooo much from it. I think I can get another one going alot easier now.

Ah, makes sense. Good luck with the new house, and let us know when you find yourself a new project.

Hey, Great to hear you sold to upgrade your house and garage and not the dreaded divorce or something. I'm sure you'll be onto a cool car again!

What your doing is smart (I hate to say). It's been in the back of my mind that there is the possibility of me doing this same day as well. I'm just hoping I have a backburner project brewing or something. I think I would go crazy without something to work on, drive/ride.

So, I was told by the new owner, just now, that the car is going to Gary Chopit's garage to be finished!!! I am sure some big things are gonna come from this lil shoe then!!!!

A couple years back I went to pick up a car I bought off e-gay. The entire family was out front crying + taking pictures. The drive home all i could think about was the little boy asking "where's daddy's car going." :( Good luck with your new house.

Did you ask what the car peeking out above yours in the transport truck was?

I got to take a good look at it, but forgot to take pictures. We actually rolled it out to put mine it. Mine ended up on the top where that one was. It was a 60's Porche racecar. The driver was telling me that the car sold for $450K!!!! It looked like and oversized go cart, but hey. Whatever.
