I have a chance to get a set of 1969 SBC 350 041 casting heads. They are 64cc and have accessory holes, screw in studs, guide plates, hardened seats and also drilled for 400 steam holes. The valves wiggle a bit in the guides, would they need new guides? They look to be bronze. Are they worth $125 bucks?

.0008 - .0015 thousands, some say up to .0025 Clarence
If they been replaced before ,it is possible to do at home ,
    cost about $35 -$50

Pull the valves & try a .343 pilot in the guide ... then mike the stems. If you have to use deathanol, looser than printed spec is good ...
