    Bore = 4.125-inches

    Stroke = 3.75-inches

    Rod Length = 5.565-inches

    Note- Main Bearing diameter is different than other SBCs - "typical" 350 etc. is 2.45-in, 400 is 2.65-in.

    Is that list telling me which is using the early small journal crank and rods and which isn't and I'm just missing it? :confused:
    And what are the #"s on "small" and "large" journal rods and cranks?
    In other words, If I just pick up a bare rod, with no piston, and no bearing shells, what measurement tells me, (or anyone,) which is which?

    Print them out and save them...All rods on 1st gen are 5.7 except 400 which is 5.565.
