I need a small diameter balancer for an internally balanced SBC. Must be less than 6 inch diameter. Please let me know if you have one or know where I can buy one.
    Thanks,
    Lee

I don't think you're gonna find a factory balancer less than 6" in diameter, you might look at aftermarket stuff like Fluid Damper.

I used 6" balancer on a roundy round car, try race car supply shops.

Try Professional products. I use one to clear my Hilborn cam driven pump. Professional Products #90010 6" Dia.

You didn't say why you needed something that small but 6" is the smallest I have ever seen. You could have it machined down to a smaller diameter just leave some meat for the pulley holes.

    I've found some 6" balancers on late 60's 350's

  8. I've got one that's 6 " on my Roadster, from O'Rielly Auto Parts. I don't have the box anymore but they can look it up for you, it was around 50 bucks, works good.

We carry a OEM replacement that is about 5.750 in diameter.
    Very thin.

We use them on pre 1962 283 restoration engines.

Need to clear a front distributor drive. Needs to be LESS than 6". Would like to run the engine on the street, so need to have a damper/balancer. Not just a hub like some drag engines run. I'll measure this weekend and see if 5.75 will do it.

Real early SBC had a hub that was small. I got one that clears the Hilborn Pump drive. Also Don Hampton makes them too.......basically not a damper, just a rotating mass to bolt pully's too.
