????SBC engine problem

  1. How about a reading from a vacuum guage??
    I've used one for years and it is an amazing diagnostic tool.
    Let us know...

    I agree.
    I already checked it.
    I am only pulling around 7" at idle, but it holds 15" like a rock at 1800 Rpm.

    The 7" is steady too.

    This should indicate that I don't have a valve sticking or anything like that, because valve train failures normally make the needle real jumpy at idle.
