I am searching for some tight headers like these where the driver's side angles forward to clear the steering box. It's for a '40 Ford with SBC. Does anyone recognize the manufacturer or know who sells them?
I think they’re by Sanderson. https://sandersonheaders.com/product/cc4dp-header-set-small-block-chevy/
Sanderson is a good brand. However, if you are wanting to compare, search for "block hugger" headers. Many point straight down though, not that forward kick to clear the steering.
I went with a “super short “ pair on my ‘40 Olds to clear the steering box on the other side. Regular “shorties” wouldn’t work…
A lot of companies make shorty headers with an angled collector. So just get a pair that angles, and bolt them up so the angles are both forward instead of back.
