Looking for help identifying what year, displacement, horsepower of an engine. Stamped on the block in front of the passenger side cylinder head are the following:

V1006ZDD: I've found that "V" means Flint MI, 10 is Oct and 06 is the day of the month it was cast. I need help identifying what ZDD means. Possibly 1980 Corvette?

1BS405857: is stamped below the above number, no clue what this means.

Thanks for any help you could provide.

I get the same as Ericnova.

1BS405857 is a partial VIN for the original vehicle.

1BS means 1981 car built in St Louis...which is where they built Vettes through 1982.

Damn, a small block chevy motor that is actually out of a vette! Almost the lowest performance one, at that :)
