Anyone know where I can find blank sbc motor mount fab plates in this type of shape with the ears instead of the triangle type? Thanks

Check with Welder Series. http://www.welderseries.com/blog/ He's a Hamber and makes some nice stuff for a fair price. There that should work now.

OOPs, what they show is the triangle kind but you might give them a call or email them and ask if they have the style you are looking for.

  4. Yeah, I'd make em out of 1/4 inch or 5/16 inch thick plate, very easy to make.

Something like that would be an easy drawing to scan in as a pdf file, dimensioned of course.

Why not start a thread as an archive, post what you have and then anybody needing the details can just PM the owner of the template.
If that dont work we improve as it grows.
I suggest somebody in the business would be a good custodian to run such a thread.
Put your hand up if you are up to it...

No, nothing that fancy, just dimensioned pic's of templates guys have made at home would be good for starters.
I got a few cardboard cut outs I've made and used for stuff on my projects.
Sometimes just a look at what somebody else has done is inspiration enough to go it alone from there.

Best to have it in a Thread with a ***le that can be easily searched...
