Clean. You have to get it clean, first. A couple of bottles of Gunk engine cleaner, cans of Brake Clean, whatever it takes to get it all off and clean.

I’d pull the distributor and use one of the priming tools to spin the oil pump. That way you can look to see if anything is coming out and where without actually driving it. If that doesn’t show the source(s), then start it and let it idle, looking everywhere. Mirror on a stick will be helpful.

I wouldn’t drive it. The airflow tends to spread oil everywhere. Just the fan turning will be more than enough airflow to make a mess with a leak.

First step is grab a can of WD-40 and roll of paper towels and a screw driver to be able to dry out the distributor cap, Get a can of your favorite engine cleaner and head to the quarter car wash and wash the engine off good and by the time you get home you should be able to see the fresh leaking oil.

I'd agree with making sure that that breather on the other valve cover is letting enough air in though. PVC systems don't work good unless you have enough air flow through the engine for them to draw fumes out and relieve the air pressure in the crank case.

I was gonna suggest jock itch powder....Spray on a clean dry engine and run it. The oil leak will leave a 'trial' through the JIP. (More masculine than Right Guard too !)

Use the Right Guard, it will show a “TRAIL” just as good and cheaper too.
