I have a 1989 suburban 350 motor in my 48 chevy truck and I'm changing the cam, lifters, etc. Does this year have self aligning rocker arms or just plain old stamped ones. I'd like to replace the rockers. It's a non roller flat tappet motor with center bolt valve covers. The rocker arms look like the regular ones to me but I've read they might be the self aligning ones?

    Thanks,

I cant tell from the picture but self aligning rockers have a lip on the edges where the valve stem rides to keep them from slipping off the edge non self alinging are just flat all the way across the end of the rocker Im 99% sure all centerbolt heads used self aligning rockers

    Russco,
Thanks. It looks like you called it. It's cupped on each side around the valve stem. Thanks again!
