  1. And people wonder why I buy 99% of my parts online... try buying an inner tube for a pool cover float...

  2. Interesting, I use champions in all my old cars, of course they are all dodge engines, some with points and some with electronic ignition. Wonder what it is about Chevy that they don’t work?

  3. I’ve had success with Champion as well, I just noticed a drop in quality with the current manufacturing and switched to NGK and haven’t looked back.

  4. You just joined here. You have to have a bit of a thick skin, this place has the most knowledgeable people anywhere. Stick it out , or don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. I hope you stick with it. Ok. I'm done.

I don’t think folks have to have a thick skin here-as i understand vs the “old days” but after reading was was quoted and how it was interpreted, makes me wonder about folks attitude/ outlook on things.
I reread the quoted message, I’d be willing to wager some don’t understand older “sayings”, then get (newer thing coming up) Burt hurt and lash out.
Too bad for those individuals. They lose a lot of knowledge that is available to them.

Sounded more like the OP called himself an asshole. I didn't see anybody else calling names?

My experience with Champion spark plugs was once they fouled they would never clean up, but with a AC plug it would clean up after hammering on it for a bit.
Sounds like the OP was not from the getting a spanking generation.

I thought you only put champions in Chryslers was common knowledge?

If you add a 5 to the end of the Champion number it's an RC12YC5 that indicates a copper core. I run these in my hotrods with SBC and no fouling issues on a good engine.

hmmm...might it be that the C means copper core, and the 5 means it comes with a 0.050" gap?

Not sure what the letters mean? I have some without the taper seat for my old camel hump heads and they are marked 12JYC and say Copper Plus on the package. They are NOS in a flat card with shrink wrap over the 8 plugs. I think the RC in front means a resistor plug maybe?
