Everyone, I am not at the house to look at my hold engine but i want to figure this out before i leave work. I have a 1952 chevy car that i just put a sbc 350 into it. I am going to put the radiator in this weekend and i need a water neck that goes striaght up not point to 5 oclock like all the sbc 350 ones do. My original motor still has its water neck my question is will it bolt to my 350 and if not who makes one that goes straight up i am wanting a push on style not a rad hose where i am going to need fittings and everything let me know should be a pretty simple question for everyone but me .
The original one should work. If you're using the original radiator, then you might find the hose fittings on the radiator are kind of small, compared to the ones used on the V8. here's the one used on the truck he mentioned, it angles a bit http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1031184,parttype,10337 Also there were straight up or slightly angled housings used on vans in the 80s, they look a bit funky http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,carcode,1045954,parttype,10337
