Ls in yr future ? Why so many panicking even @ the last price before out of stock No longer made the ones I have payed 150 & 185 new . for $ 30 & few hrs a set can be made.. even No tools I am sure person could have a set made around $150 or less .
Checking , 1k alot but not . My self I lean not to sell over 50 yrs of stuff there been time in p*** I would get a call or visit asking if I had apart something might have not been touched for 40yrs sold / traded not long after then I needed . My 25 yr old punk nephew not to long ago giving me Griff about all my stuff he pointed out u joint cup's & Needles why dont I just throw away , I said never know when I need ! A week later he comes in shop asking if he could get a few needles , I could not refuse to say you mean that junk I should have thrown away & why not go buy a U join for needles & by the way part store is closed .
I could really use one for a project that I’m putting together parts for, but that auction looks like a couple pro shops (that can p*** the cost along) are just going nuts. Hope it’s a one time anomaly, and someone starts making them for reasonable money again.
****, If any of you guys wanna pay $661.00 for one right now I will take the one I have off the panel truck. It is only a year and a half old any has less than 1000 miles on it. I think I probably got a new one still in the box around here somewhere also.

Hopefully that ignites someone to pick up where zips left off. You’d think with speedways ‘sources’ on cast aluminum products that they’d be interested. They could surely run big enough batches to make good margin on ‘em.
I hope my threat of selling mine brought that insanity to a halt. If it went to 1k I was selling mine.
Well After making some calls this morning I packed up my extra SBC water pump riser and will be shipping it to a foundry who I have used before and has a in house pattern maker on site. They could not give me a quote from pictures So I have to send them the actual part to get a quote. Based on my previous experience with them probably be a few weeks before I can get a quote on the castings and 2-3 months before we have a usable pattern. To help control the overall cost of these I plan to probably cut the brackets and machine the castings here in my shop. Like most parts like this I do not anticipate this being a very profitable venture, But at least the parts will be available for those who need them. I will probably do these like some of my other parts, In short limited runs. That way I don't have to sit on So much money for so long and it kinda keeps them rare enough that guys will buy them. Once I have a solid locked down cost I will probably offer a presale on the first run and a discount off the retail price and accept deposits to help offset my upfront expenses. Eiter way I am going ahead with this project and we will see what happens. The pics below is what I plan my version of this to look like. Only thing that will stop me is if the casting quote is crazy, I will update this thread when I get some numbers and know what I am looking at for sure.
You’ve probably already done this, but one thing to consider is the location and depth of your logo. For those of us who use these bad boys with the front intake manifold outlet used as part of the byp*** circuit, it can be a pretty tight fit with a 90* fitting. I mean we can always hit it with a wee grind, but….
