    hi i built my first motor it is a 350 30 over sbc for my 55 chevy wagon with a 350 tranny shift kit and a 3000 stall and a stock rear end i dont know much about matching up engine parts to make good hp so i went with my buddy to his engine guy told him i just want to burn the tires off and sound good cheap so they sold me sealed power speed pro flat top .030 pistons pt#h345acp clevite cb-663 p(8)rod bearings hastings139 030 piston rings melling high volume oil pump and screen melling select cam valve lift 480 I &E CAM LIFT 320 I&E DURATION 287@.050CAM LIFT DURATION 230I&E LIBERTY PERFORMANCE DOUBLE ROLLER TIMING DELPHI HYDRAULIC HARDENED TIP LIFTERS ROLLER ROCKERS BUILT 882 IRON HEADS 2.02 INTAKE VALVES THE SAID THAT WOULD GIVE AROUND 400 HP THE CAR SOUNDS GOOD BUT WONT EVEN BREAK TQURE WHERE DID I GO WRONG ALSO WHAT KIND OF COMPRESSION WOULD IT MAKE I HAVE NO CLUE THANKS

  5. I'm not seeing 400hp from that combo but you didn't post what intake & carb, any details about your exhaust system, etc. Military recruiters, politicians, lawyers, and engine builders all lie. You also don't say what you're rear end gear ratio is if you know. But anyway, welcome. There are lots of guys here who know their shit and you are in good company. Post pics. We love pics.

    it has a Aluminum Dual Plane Intake Manifold with a Quadrajet Carburetor headers with 2 1/2 exhaust not sure on gears
