I am working on a older 302 with hydro valves, Is the valve adjustment the same as a small block chevy. Meaning zero lash and a half turn. what is the sequence. Or is it different.
    Thanks for the help

For some reason SBF's seem to like a little less pre-load what seems to work is bring up each cylinder and do the adjust by turning the pushrod between thumb and forefinger, when you have zero lash on all cyls crank it several revolutions and recheck for zero,if all is OK tighten only 1/4 turn.As for doing it in sequence,I like to do one bank at a time as it cuts down the chance of forgeting where you have been, it might take 5 minutes longer but doing it right the first time is better.

It may have non-adjustable rockers.Check to see if there is a positive stop built into the stud.
