Finally put the trim back on this weekend, Abe and Tony at San Diego Rod and Custom got the side pipes, hub caps and tires on, and I was able to snap a few shots in the sun.

What do you think of the finished product?!

When I finally get some more money together, I'd like to lower it 2", get everything rechromed, do the interior....etc

Badass, love the mid-50's pontiacs. As stated, I think it just needs a drop maybe play around with some kinda custom grill. I wanna do a 55 Pontiac with a 54 chevy grill one day.

Sweet, but I think I'd have to agree on the drop. The sidepipes are killer.I'd love to have one of these old '50s tanks to play with- maybe someday.

The latest OSR has a 55 (Starchief? I think) spread in it. Pretty cool, worth checking out.

That's an interesting grill option. I've been toying with the idea of a '57 Chev grill, but I'm not sure if it would fit without more modifications than I have the skill for.

Hell ya, I believe that one has been own by Mike Ness in times past. Ive never seen any real clear pix like that though. Looks even better than i thought. I want it just like that except with a deep midnight blue with a little metalflake in it. Killer.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the comments. Its in my plans to drop it 2" in the future, and finish the interior, rechrome the bumpers, etc - just a little low on funds right now!

The pipes are great, I was running them straight but split them today and put flowmaster 40's on and capped off the pipes. It was so damn loud I was going to get a ticket at some point.

I've never seen the one Mike Ness had - it definitely wasn't this one. When I got this thing it was all original - check some of my older posts, I have been asking for HAMB help since I got this boat 8 months ago!

Thanks again!!!!! This baby is turning heads everywhere I go!

  26. Not to hijack this post but if you would like to see more pix of it, click here. This is my Flickr Account of pix I have taken (most of them) of this car

Thanx for those pic Kustom55! Im gonna have to save em all, use as reference in 10 years when i might have the funding again for a project. Haha. Something I just realized, Cole puts a 54 Chevy grill in everything, except 54 Chevy's! But damn does it all look good.

Betteroffalone- Still an awesome car, I feel ya on the low funds bit. Doesnt matter if ya got all the time in world, if ya dont got the money. Good Luck!

Thanks for posting that link - those pics are sick and give me some great ideas for the future. Wow that '54 grill really changes the whole look of the front end, I would definitely like something like that for my chief in the future.

    Thanks!

  29. No problem guys. I agree the grille looks the best and when I saw it back in the early-mid 90's it really caught my attention. I know it wasn't and easy project to make that grille fit but Cole is a master; he doesn't shape metal, metal asks him how he wants it to be shaped. j/k
