Blueprint is contacting everyone they can about a scam involving bargain prices on their products. I saw the scam last night on Facebook (looked like the real deal) and only an uninformed person would fall for the unbelievably low discounted prices. The real Blueprint has now posted their own scam alert on Facebook. As always. If it looks to good to be true it probably is.

I was wondering if the blueprint crate engines are worth it, or good or bad?

I see they used a couple on roadkill garage show. Looks like the cam bearings sizes are different part than a GM cast block. Of course those two roadkill morons blow up everything they touch
What I see people trying to sell junk small and BB chevy cores and parts for is a joke. "Ran when parked" "I knowz what I gotz" BS.... Trash

Ryno put a 425hp 383 in my dad's 66 Chevy pickup and it's been flawless for a few years now. If they built a Ford FE, I would have used it in my Galaxie too. They are not cheap but they are good stuff.

when scrolling through FB, etc and something catches your that involves making a purchase do double check on source of ad. even if name is familiar, and says from USA, don't assume it is a good site to buy from.

I posted a thread on the "Off Topic" site about the Summit Racing scam if anyone wants to skip over there and see what it looks like. They have the Blueprint engines as well as OEM engines for giveaway pricing.

The Blue Print ad with the ridiculous prices showed up again last night on Facebook. They show the front of the BP building and are using lots of BP pictures for what they call a warehouse clearance. Only the uninformed would fall for their prices.

If any of you are ever passing thru Nebraska, Blueprint Engines is something you need to see. It is very impressive. Their stuff is top notch! They start with all new stuff. Their blocks are cast in Indiana I think and Germany. It's so cool to see pallets of unmachined blocks. At least watch the videos on You Tube.

I have a good friend who has a SBF 406 from Blueprint engines and is very pleased with the performance. But he did tell me that after a couple years his engine developed a pan gasket leak he's been trying to solve without pulling the engine to re-gasket it.

All scams follow the same premise.
The inability of some to use common sense.

I saw one this morning on IG. I blew by it but stopped long enough to see (I think) 1,999 for a SBC.

My Blueprint engine is a 408 stroker 4 years old this month in my Cobra . No leaks or issues strong as the day I got it .

  21. Not looking to be a jerk here but how could anyone fall for that?

There are oval track carburetors that cost that price! There are a couple guys in the vintage modified class in my club with $4,000 Holley 4412 two barrels!

Remember if it’s too good to be true ……

Ot tell them to ship it COD and In appreciation for doing so you’ll pay up to the next $100.00 to make it even.

Example if it’s $1,437.25 just tell them COD it and make it an even $1,500.

And provide a tracker where it’s coming from.

Or better yet, offer to pick it up and the address where it’s at.

    Cricket’s….

A lot of us are dialed into what a car from the 20s thru the 60s is worth, and many of the parts.
Some of us remember when crate SBCs were under 2K.
It could be the rube hoping for a killer deal or it could be someone who hasn't looked in quite a while and might think that 1. lots of stuff gets cheaper over time, like electronics and 2. hears closeout and expects 50 cents or less on the dollar.
Each of us adults are expected to do some basic research and know what we are doing. But none of us know everything and while research is very easy these days, there seems to be large swaths of people who can't or won't pay attention to what's going on unless it's directly our interest or for our job.

I'm not apologizing for stupidity, I'm just saying there's a reason why the trope of the attic yard sale painting worth a million or the thrift store trinket worth hundreds is so loved. People want a great deal.
Stroker kits, aluminum heads, valve covers and intakes, headers and rocker arms can all be had for 20% of what used to be the domestic price. I won't go on down that rabbit hole, but it is sort of in the realm of possibility, although you'd expect it to be as short lived as the clone 125cc engines.

They've actually address that in their YouTube content. They hate having to run things when they know they'll continue to get damaged. But when filming the shows, many times they were forced to ignore an issue to get "the shot" and maintain the schedule which often resulted in a catastrophic failure.

You may not like it, but it's a sure tip off of a fake price. The accessory drive alone is $2K.

I ignore anything that says “Limited Time Offer “ and counts down in front of your eyes……….
