I screwed in some plugs on an old OT Bug long time ago. They all snugged up nicely until I cranked it over a few times. It went pup-pup-pup-BOOM! Sounded like a shot gun went off. One plug blew out and took the wire with it. I still can see it like it happened yesterday and makes me chuckle remembering it.
At work I found an old "clicker" torque wrench. It was a beam style and when the pointer got to the needed torque a preset gizmo would click, yes I checked it, you laugh but it was pretty audible.
