we use 'em in our racing engine (3-3/8" x 4-1/4") and sell the complete kits. we have had nothing but good luck with them.
Thanks for the info doctorz, are you running a blown setup on the race engines? I know on flatheads 286 is a grey area for running a blower or going n/a. As far as filling the cylanders with air.
Scat builds quality parts. We're using a scat crank in a blown big block we're putting together. We went rhough 4 cranks from another well respected manufacturer never got one that wasn't either knicked or that would mic out correctly. Contacted Scat and they sent us a perfect crank first time out.
Ran a scat crank and rods in a 408 stroker sbf 351 W. Went 7.90's all day long on 25% nitro injected. Nothing wrong with scat stuff. Sold the engine and the rotating assy went in another dragrace engine and is still going. Lippy
it's an original 59AB block, bored/ fully sleeved/ ported/ polished/ relieved with high dome pistons. we're running fuel and about 20 lbs. of boost. at least that's what it was until we killed block on monday in bonneville ...
