In 1965 I bought my 2nd. ‘55 Chevy 2dr. Sedan off a tow truck for $100.00, with a broken 3spd. Trans. Light green bottom with a white top no rust, just sun bleached and faded. I wet sanded the bottom green and primed it grey. Rubbing Compounded the grey to a gloss, also the white top. Thin white walls, black steel wheels w/baby moon caps. 18 yrs. old and thought it was great! Fast forward 54 yrs. to 72 yrs.old and I would have left the sun bleached green and white paint on it and drove the wheels off it. ........................go figure
