A friend (who doesn't know much about cars) called the shop this weekend asking if a 63 wildcat was a desireable car... I said sure it was, a guy in my club has one all done and it's killer. He said he saw one off a highway outside of town while he was operating a backhoe in someones backyard. We go and check it out, turns out its for sale $1000!!! A running, bucket seat, nailhead powered Cat! We scooped it up and brought it back to the shop to start cleaning it up. We are changing all the plugs, wires, oils etc... and leaving it alone. It runs mint!
Good score. I've got a friend with a 63 Lesabre with the same motor that might be parting it out soon. Let me know if you guys need anything. Alot of the parts look the same, except his is a 4 door.
I was thinking the same thing. Then I noticed in one of the pics that there is one there. Must have missed or overflowed. Anyway, nice score. A buddy of mine is trying to get his 64 wildcat 4-door hardtop on the road. With any luck we'll get it to Paso. I love wildcats, I think they are an great alternative to the lincolns and cadillacs that ar so common at shows these days.
not bad. i scored big time when i got my '64 wildcat 2drhtp. $450 and yes i drove it home and then drove it daily for about 3-4 years. i love these cars. i've had tons of cars and none of them have ever meant as much to me as this one. it will never be sold. even the wife says so. shelikes it almost as much as i do. but yeah man for a grand you got a major score...ken....
