    i've been wanting to stop and check on the boat for about a year but just didn't. so finally stopped today and asked if it was for sell...the wife said ya let me get my husband...he came out and said no...it belongs to someone else. i said would he want to sell? he said no he just hasn't picked it up. i said can i ask what you sold it for? he said i gave it to him cause i need it out of the yard...i said.....i'll give you 200 bucks for it rite now while i'm standing here this moment...he almost paused and then said ok....i popped out 2 $100 bills and slammed on him. i probably could have got it for 100 but he also looked like he could use the other 100 and i was happy cause i already decided i was going up 700...so anyway i got a real nice project totally complete. he said his brother bought it new and said the motor was running when the put it up 2 yrs ago...we'll see...but i'm happy

    Very nice! Amazing how nice boats stay when they are not around salt water.

    I envy you. There was one similar to that here in Destin for a while that the fella somehow transferred a cut down 57 chevy trim setup onto that rear flare. Badass and yours is a true classic. Good job. Enjoy.

    he said it was a 57 and it's an 80 hp merc. he said when you start it it's going...it's either in forward or reverse. it was bought from a local dealer here that i remember
    hearing their name as a kid...i'm just glad it's not missing anything but the windshield.
    i think i can come up with something like that..

    hahaha... similar story I had about two months ago... I bought this little Lake n Sea out of someone's front yard... stoped in and asked if it was for sale, and the man said, as a matter of fact, I need it out of the yard, how about $100.... needless to say I bought it, original TeeNee trailer too... boat and trailer came with****les too... I'm trying to talk my father into letting me put on of his 1961 Mark 75's on it... haha... you're Merc800 will GOW!

    Great Score!.. you know there is not any very good fiberglass boat forums on the web.. it would be amazing for Atomic Industries to start a "Fiberglass Journel" hahahaha

    Nice boat Reggie. Saw your coupe ride by with your kids in it while I was in the lanes at BG. Never found you again after that.

    Way cool boat..there was a black and white one just like that, no engine, abandoned on the side of our road for a couple of weeks, no license plates.. I finally went over and looked at it and saw it had two flat tires, I took them off and put on a couple of tires and away I went..I am now glassing in 59 Caddy tailights into the fins..I have it parked where it can be seen from the road just in case someone identifies it..the brand on this one is "Whitehouse"

    ORGANGRINDER ... Good score ... there's a '57 GlassMagic SkiMaster on eBay right now ... starting bid is $900.

    Actually, that's not a bad idea ... although there's quite a few websites devoted to vintage boats (including fiberglass):

    * http://www.theoldglassboats.com/index.php

    * http://www.fiberglassics.com/

    * http://www.theclassicboathouse.com/

    * http://bigfinboats.com/forums/index.php

    * http://forums.iboats.com/

    * http://www.goldenstateglassics.com/

    * http://classicboatclub.com/

    * http://forums.screamandfly.com/forums/index.php

    * http://www.mercurymarine.com/about/heritage.php

    ... IMHO, none of them are up to the professional standards of an Atomic Industries website/forum ... though I really don't know if Ryan's heart is much into the vintage marine scene.

  27. Sweet! There was one in town like that for sell, Same shape but 1400$

    thanks man... the best I had found was fiberglassics... but even that is hoke and up and down a lot... You know how it is.. I am sure we all wish we had a clearing house like this for our other interests... gonna try your first link out...

    glass boats are fun, but seem to be a marginal interest group as the classic and vintage ones have been shunned for years by the classic wood boat community...

    I dealt with mercury on an old motor maybe 10 yrs ago, they supported and answered all questions/parts if they still do those old motors really run.

  30. I'm really not into boats, BUT if I had to have one to take up to Lake Lanier, it would have to be one with FINS. Maybe I should start lookin' around.
