These boats have so much character even compared to the newest ski/wakeboard boats.

There's decent amount in michigan and can be seen in backyards in almost every neighborhood.

I've been on the hunt for a late 50's/early 60's boat for awhile.
Everytime I ask my wife she says no!

    hey dave!!
i kept going to your trailer fri then some one said you were in some meetings till later. sorry we missed you. pulled a 3 1/2 ft. wheelie on one of my runs...i never could get timing down on the take off and shifting...still had alot of fun. i think i may go back for good guys just to run that track again...shouldn't be so hot either.

i got into the motor on the boat a little yesterday and the compression is great the first problem is a belt that goes from the flywheel to the dist. that turns the dist. so i've got one on the way so we can lite a fire. we'll go from there.

old boats are so cool. It's always been interesting to me how the styling mimicked that of cars of the same era. not like today-cars are bland and boats haven't been changing much style-wise for years and years.

all you old boat guys wanna hear some bad news? this stupid*****er with a shop 3 doors down from me had been in the boat repair business for about 18 years. he had a 3200 sq ft shop and good sized yard FULL of boat***** and other****orted junk.

business was failing and the landlord told him they were not going to renew his lease due to not paying the rent every month.

he tossed 40's 50's and 60's boat motors in the scrap bin for a few pennies. as well as I'm sure a bunch of other vintage boat stuff. he was cutting up vintage rigs like the one pictured and tossing them in the trash.

I tried to get a price on some stuff but he was all weird about selling anything. very hard to get a price out of him... I finally gave up. I wanted to at least save those motors and resell them to someone looking for vintage boat motors but it just didn't happen.

this place was so full he worked on boats outside. I'm sure he tossed $10,000.00 worth of vintage boat stuff in the trash/recycle bin
