Well I finally got a score on some Flatty stuff!! A friend told me about some Econoline van full of stuff and come to find out I knew the guy who has it.I check him out,he says yeah go on back and see if you want anything.I open the side doors (the only ones I could get to)and this thing is 3 feet deep front to back FULL of Flathead stuff! So far I got a Grancor low rise 2x2 w/2 94's a early to late trans. adapter, nice breather style fuel pump mount and the best part so far....a Merc. crank [IMG]! All for the grand total of.....$75!!!! Gotta go back when I can and see what else is good, looks like about three transmissions a Merc. carb a LOT of rods/pistons/pans/stock heads/stuck short block ect.Sorry for the rant but I am still wired from the score [IMG].

Since you have the Grancor manifold now, you don't need the stinky old Eddie Meyer stuff on your truck. I could probably help you dispose of that unneeded manifold. My flatty really needs to rid itself of it's Offy regular dually!

Grancor is the Granatelli brothers of Indianapolis 500 and STP repute--they made Flathead stuff in the early fifties. Their stuff is relatively rare and much sought after, so that manifold could either make a really unusual topping for your engine or be turned into lots of more common harware by unloading it on a deranged speed collector.

    Great score!
How about letting the HAMB brothers get some of the action?

Im always looking for 2 to 4 carb intakes and they dont need to be collector rarities. Anything that will clean up and be useable.
Also need aluminum timing covers, decent car and truck pulleys, 5-6 blade truck fans, and all kinds of little stuff. Also might need some finned heads, even junk wall art.

If you find any 49-51 OD trannys grab them and be particularly looking for one with an angled solenoid. That fits the 51 ragtop and the collectors pay big bucks for just a solenoid.

Nope, just wanted to give him heads up that people are looking for them, particulary the 49-51's.
When I blow the OD in my 53 I'll upgrade to a later version with a bit more balls.

Well I gotta say thanks for the pics. I am way jealuos man. Just glad ta see that someone is finally gatting that stuff out a dead storage.

By the way, I really dig those headers on yer truck. I gotta build me some sortta like that.

  20. Hey I'll give you $75.00 for that intake and then all the other stuff will be free [IMG]

Actually the Grancor stuff is way cool. A guy here in town owns the 34 coupe the was owned by Andy Granatelli when he had the speed shop in Chicago. It has the Grancor intake AND the heads to match. The car is in the Rodders Journal some time last year. IT's the one with coverage of the coupe(hotrodcoupe) class in Pebbel Beach.

Hell I might even go $100.00 bucks on the intake and then we're talking PROFIT!!

Ya done real good, boy...now get out there and put it all together! Congrats.
Maybe you should make the guy an offer on all the stuff together. Stash some, use some, throw away some and sell some to recover costs.
