A local cat had this setting for sale. He was asking 200.00, I pulled the money out in front of him and counted all I had with me, 110.00. Asked if he'd take that and he went for it. So a new piece for Henry! (my truck)

    I've got $115. Don't suppose you'd like to make a profit?

    Nice score man!
    About 3 month's ago i grabbed a killer tri-power from a local guy.
To make a long story short, i scored an original Offy flathead tri-power intake, old fuel block with the red plastic fuel lines, connected to 3 mint Stromburg 97's with all the progressive linkage!!!
I paid 200 bux for everything! It was still all bolted together beside's!!

Every once in a while, we hit a good deal!

  7. Hey Terry

Nice find and a great price...! Were they warm to the touch? [IMG] Or very "HOT"? [IMG]

You might have discovered the set "Lifted" from Aces & 8's in Bracken Texas! [IMG] [IMG]

"Hopefully" the guy had a bunch of other project stuff that's been laying around for a long time, and you just got a fantastic deal! [IMG]

Doe's he have anything else he's willing to give away??? [IMG]

Good deal! Hope it is legit & not hot, price really is good course people get broke sell **** cheap. Going price @ Pate this year for nice setup around $750. Shoulda kept setup I had 30 yrs ago, shoulda kept all that stuff I had 30 yrs ago, could retire now. Good luck! (Oh yeah, dont make homemade linkage that sticks wfo when you are going about 120 in a 56 Chev. Scary! Been there, done that!) [IMG]

From San Antonio, lets see around 7 hours? I got it from a cat at the Odessa Swap meet, so maybe he was just hard up for money.

And I'll be sure to stay away from any homemade linkage! LOL Musta been a hell of a ride!

  12. Nice thing about Texas is that the next door neighbor has to travel several hours to get "nosey"!! SAFE!

"Then go see if he has another to give away"! **** he might have the car the tri-carbs were on "For sale"!

    Good Score!
